Job Title: Process Development Engineer
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
- We’re on the hunt for a Process Development Engineer to join our Drug Substance Technology Engineering team in Thousand Oaks, CA. This role is perfect for an early-career professional with a biotech background and experience in cell culture and purification.
Job Responsibilities:
- Transfer cell culture and purification drug substance processes from the lab into the manufacturing facility
- Provide technical support for successful scale-up and transfer of process technology
- Offer process validation support for late-stage commercial processes
- Conduct routine process monitoring and troubleshooting
- Execute data trending and statistical process analysis
- Represent process development and collaborate with other functions such as Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering and 2 years of experience in a GMP Environment
- 1+ years of Process Engineering experience related to scale-up principles and commercial cGMP manufacturing facilities
- Background in biologics tech transfer into commercial facilities
- Knowledge of cell culture and purification processes/equipment
- Strong capability of analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical writing and presentation experience
