Job Title: Learning and Development Specialist

Location: Devens, Massachusetts (Onsite)

Job Summary:

  • The Specialist in Learning and Development is a pivotal role within our organization. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of training programs that align with regulatory standards and the strategic objectives of the business. The successful candidate will work closely with Learning and Development teams and Subject Matter Experts to devise a comprehensive training and development strategy that fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement training programs that adhere to regulatory requirements and address the specific needs of the business.
  • Collaborate with Learning and Development teams and Subject Matter Experts to formulate a holistic training and development strategy.
  • Facilitate in-person and on-the-job training sessions to support the training requirements of various functional units within the organization.
  • Provide constructive feedback to trainees and identify any areas of knowledge or skill that may require further training.
  • Maintain meticulous records of training documentation and employee training histories.
  • Develop and introduce new course content in response to procedural changes or the introduction of new techniques.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Comprehensive understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments, processes, and controls.
  • Familiarity with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) instructional design model.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with a particular emphasis on public speaking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with trainees, colleagues, and subject-matter experts.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Biology, Biochemical, Chemical, or a related field, or 3-5 years of relevant experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
