Job Title: Data Engineer III
Location: Houston, TX
Join our client’s dynamic Big Data and Advanced Analytics team as a Data Engineer III. This role is integral to the creation of an Data Lakehouse, supporting data analytic use cases for midstream oil and gas operations, engineering, and measurements business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement reliable data pipelines to integrate disparate data sources into a single Data Lakehouse
- Develop data quality pipelines to ensure data correctness and build trusted datasets
- Design a Data Lakehouse solution that accurately reflects business operations
- Assist with data platform performance tuning and physical data model support
- Provide guidance in data visualizations and reporting efforts to align solutions with business objectives
Skills Required:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer designing and maintaining data pipeline architectures
- Proficiency in Python and ANSI SQL
- Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT)
- Knowledge of Data Lakehouse technologies like Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake
- Experience working with S3 object storage
Preferred Skills:
- Python UI development experience, Dash
- Experience with Dremio, Apache Airflow, and Airbyte
- Familiarity with Kubernetes/AWS EKS
- AWS Cloud experience
