Job Title: Clinical Case Manager II
Location: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid)
Join our team as a Clinical Case Manager II, where you’ll provide exceptional service to patients and families, coordinating between healthcare providers, insurance providers, and specialty pharmacies. This is a hybrid role, with remote work available two days per week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build long-term relationships with patients and families, providing education and support to start or continue therapy.
- Manage complex issues and utilize resources to reduce/remove barriers.
- Assist in obtaining insurance approval for therapy and plan for maintenance of coverage.
- Enroll qualifying patients in financial assistance or gap coverage.
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare providers about patient support services and insurance options.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent integrated approach to supporting patient access.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 2-4 years patient-facing role experience in case management, reimbursement, or patient advocacy.
- Experience with engaging patients and caregivers with rare/chronic conditions.
- Comprehensive understanding of the reimbursement process, billing/coding, insurance plans, payer trends, financial assistance programs, and related resources.
- Excellent phone communication and service-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Salesforce CRM preferred.
Additional Information:
- Working hours are 10:30am-7pm EST.
- Spanish language fluency is highly preferred.
- Paid parking is required.
- Open to all areas of study for bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in pharma, hospital, or insurance industry.
- Strong customer service experience is a must.
