Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a dedicated Building Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety and functionality of our client’s facilities. This role involves performing routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring efficient operational functionality. The ideal candidate will be adept at responding to maintenance requests promptly and maintaining a safe, functional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and extensive maintenance and repair tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks on a scheduled basis to prolong the lifespan of building systems and equipment.
- Regularly inspect facilities to identify and rectify safety hazards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Promptly diagnose and repair building systems and equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for building maintenance tasks.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to building occupants.
Skills Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in commercial building maintenance, construction, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding work environment.
- Safety mindset with knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
