Job Title: Assistant Scientist
Location: Seattle, WA
Pay Rate: $33/hr – $35/hr
Job Summary:
- Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Scientist, where you’ll play a crucial role in the production of cellular products for our client’s cell therapy franchise. This lab-based role requires a high degree of interpersonal skills, organizational prowess, and the ability to manage large quantities of data. You’ll be working in cross-functional teams, executing processes, analyzing data, and drafting technical reports. Flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend shifts is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the production of T-cell products and intermediates
- Managing freezer inventory and overseeing material allocation to stakeholders
- Employing aseptic technique while working in the biological safety cabinet
- Problem-solving and adapting to changes swiftly
Skills Required:
- A.A. (Lab Technician) or BS (Assistant Scientist) in Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related scientific discipline with 0-2 years of industry bioprocess experience
- Proficiency in aseptic technique
- Experience in buffer and media preparation, cell banking
- Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills
- Experience with managing large inventory systems
- Proficient use of MS Office products
