Job Title: Assistant Purchaser
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the entire purchasing process, including ordering materials, supplies, and equipment, and coordinating with vendors for shipment and delivery.
- Aid in the preparation of procurement documents and agreements.
- Participate in vendor bid evaluations and technical evaluations.
- Prepare and submit purchase order information for final approval.
- Expedite vendor submittals to support detailed design and delivery of equipment and materials.
- Assist in sourcing and qualifying potential suppliers, verifying supplier pricing, quantity, reliability, and industry experience.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Law, or a Construction-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Previous internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Financial R12 software preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
