Job Title: Senior Site Safety & Health Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement project-specific safety policies and procedures in a heavy construction environment.
- Administer Safety & Health programs on construction projects to ensure operations are conducted safely.
- Manage compliance with Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Conduct regular health and safety performance reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with Corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and resolve actions causing work stoppage when immediate danger to life and health is present.
- Lead, conduct, validate, and document training on Safety & Health subjects relevant to the work being conducted.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or Construction Management and 7 years of relevant experience, or Associate Degree in the same fields and 9 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 11 years of relevant experience.
- Experienced knowledge of OSHA Construction and General Industry Regulations, ANSI, NIOSH, Army Corps of Engineers (CoE), Engineers Manual 385-1 and National Electrical Code (NEC) Standards.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to work various schedules at the project site location.
- Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company’s vehicle driving privileges.
- Valid driver’s license and OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Construction Outreach Safety Training Course required.
