Job Title: Data Governance 2
Job Responsibilities:
- Eliminate data risks identified by internal audit, including crafting and aligning data definitions with the product creation team.
- Develop, document, and drive foundational data governance work to ensure appropriate use of product data across our client’s location.
- Inform and educate business partners about their role in governing the data managed by their teams.
- Influence the identification of functional SMEs/resources to support metadata build work, and hold those SMEs accountable for aiding in the development of accurate business metadata.
- Document and publish critical business-metadata to ensure that data is appropriately maintained, accessed, and applied across our client’s location.
- Collaborate with business and technology partners to ensure that metadata is documented and accessible in the Enterprise data catalog.
Skills Required:
- 2+ years of heavy data experience.
- Proficiency in Excel and PLM.
- Background with user side of data vs coding/data building.
- Strong verbal and technical communication skills.
- Ability to capture written data definitions and clearly communicate across teams.
- Detail-oriented, has the ability to build relationships, is trustworthy, influential, and independent.
