Job Title: Patient Support Specialist

Job Description:

  • Join our team as a Patient Support Specialist, where you’ll play a crucial role in providing healthcare services and ensuring access to prescription medications for patients. You’ll be the face of our client’s copay assistance programs, offering a ‘white glove’ service experience from start to finish. This role requires a compassionate individual with a background in patient care or healthcare case management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls from patients, physicians, and pharmacies, addressing their care access and reimbursement needs.
  • Provide program information, eligibility, and reimbursement support for our client’s copay assistance programs.
  • Escalate requests as needed and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Perform additional assignments as required.
  • Assist other departments with administrative tasks as needed.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in a high-volume contact center environment or similar, preferably in healthcare or case management.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy benefits, healthcare insurance, and/or medical billing is a plus.
  • Experience with Call Center software (Five9, In-Contact, or similar) is a plus.
  • Fluency in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • High level of empathy, emotional intelligence, and customer focus.
